How Secure is Mobile Shredding?

Throwing documents away in the regular trash, even if they have only your address on them, gives identity thieves another piece of the puzzle they need to steal your identity. Even if you shred documents with a home office shredder, your data isn’t safe. Strips are easy enough to put together to get confidential information. When you use mobile shredding services, you know that your information is safe. The trucks are secure, and we use cross cut shredders that create tiny shreds of paper that are nearly impossible to put back together.

As with any business that deals with confidential information, Savannah Shred has to abide by regulations such as the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), The Fair and Accurate Credit Transaction Act (FACTA), and the Greamm-Leach-Bliley Act.

Mobile Shredding Services

Mobile shredding security on our mobile shredding trucks is high. We keep the truck locked. And, we dump the contents of the locked shred bins directly into the shredder. The employees working in the shred trucks do not touch or look at the documents. Once the documents are shredded, they are baled with other business’ documents and then forwarded to a recycling plant. We vet our employees to ensure that your documents and other shredded media is secure. We are a NAID AAA-certified paper destruction company, which means that we are held to the highest standards of keeping identity thieves from getting their hands on your confidential documents.

Mobile Shredding Cost

Mobile shredding cost depends on the type of subscription you need. You can choose from one-time shredding, on-site shredding, off-site shredding, drop-off shredding or even take your documents to shred events.

For one-time shredding, we will come to your home or small business for an annual purge of your documents. Once you have your files cleaned out and boxed up, we’ll shred them for a fixed price. If you often have documents we can set up a schedule based on how often you need to shred documents. Some busy law offices or medical offices may need us to come out every week or every other week, while others may need our services every two or three months. We provide locked containers so that you can securely store files and documents that need to be shredded and declutter your filing cabinets.

On-site shredding is when we come to your business to shred your documents. You can watch us pick up your locked boxes, wheel them to our truck in your parking lot and shred the documents. We can also pick up the locked shred boxes from your business and take them to our facility to shred them.

If you want to save more money, you can transport your documents to us for shredding. Before you use our drop-off shredding services, you’ll need to call the office to make an appointment to drop off your documents.

Finally, you can bring your documents to a shred event. In many cases, these events are free.
